Description
The United States Agency for International Development's Mission to the Philippines, Pacific Islands, and Mongolia is developing a new five-year program on fisheries in the Pacific Region that seeks to address the drivers of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing that are degrading coastal fisheries and biodiversity thus negatively impacting local livelihoods and maritime security. The program will support the U.S. Governments, Indo-Pacific Vision of strengthening partnerships with longstanding allies to uphold rules-based order and advance shared governance goals in the region as applied to the environment context. Subject to availability of funds, USAID anticipates that this activity or activities will be implemented over a period of five (5) years. In line with the Agencys Effective Partnering and Procurement Reform (EPPR) that aims to foster self-reliance, we are contemplating the use of the New Partners Initiative or an alternate mechanism to inform this new program. Through this RFI, USAID is seeking information, feedback and recommendations from interested parties (i.e. US or non-US organizations, nongovernmental organizations, universities, consortium, for-profit organizations) to address the questions in Attachment 1 of this RFI. This is not a solicitation or a call for applications. Any application(s) submitted in response tothis request will not be considered. Please do not submit applications, proposals, resumes orpromotional materials, as they will be discarded, and not considered. Responses to this RFI should be submitted to USAID via email to manila-roaa-rfa@usaid.gov with subject line Response to RFI No. 72088720-PACIFIC/RFI-00001, Pacific Sustainable Coastal Fisheries Management Project, no later than the date and time stated in the attachment and in the general information section. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. We look forward to receiving your feedback, comments and recommendations.
