Description

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) a National Laboratory and Federally Funded Research and Development Center RDC) operated by The Trustees of Princeton University, a US Department of Energy Prime Contractor wishes to solicit proposals in response to Request for Proposal (RFP) 20-026C to replace the existing cooling system for the Fusion Computation Center (FCC) located at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.� The scope of work of the project includes the demolition and replacement of existing CRAC units, pumps and dry coolers*, and associated and general construction work, that serve the Fusion Computing Center (FCC) and adjacent NSTX-U Control Room in the basement of the Lyman Spitzer Building (LSB). (*Option Item 1 � Demolish and remove (5) existing dry cooler units and associated concrete housekeeping pads, including patching of concrete surfaces remaining after removal of pads, from the Penthouse of the LSB.) The magnitude of this procurement is between $750,000 and $1,250,000 inclusive of option item.� Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds will be required (see RFP for specific bond requirements). The performance period of the project is 270 calendar days after date of award. This procurement is unrestricted, full and open.� The applicable NAICS Code is 238220, HVAC Contractors. This announcement shall not commit PPPL�to issue a subcontract for this effort, or to pay any costs incurred by offerors in the preparation and submittal of proposals in response to this RFP.
