Description: This is a notice of intent to sole-source�a requirement�to Blast and Paint Eight Mat Barges to Big River Shipbuilders located in Vicksburg, MS. Description of work: The Mat Sinking Unit has a requirement to� Blast and Repair Eight Mat Barges �for the 2020 mat sinking season. Since the� vessel will be located in Vicksburg it has been determined to be in the best interest of the government to avoid unnecessary costs (crew, fuel, ect.) for transporting the vessel outside of the immediate vicinity of the Vicksburg Harbor.
