THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE � THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT�S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE-SOURCE, FOLLOW-ON, BRIDGE CONTRACT TO AKIMA TECHICAL SOLUTIONS (ATS) LLC TO PROVIDE AIRCREW AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT FOR THE UH-1N HELICOPTER TO HEADQUARTERS AIR EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMAND. The Air Force Installation Contracting Center (AFICC) - 338 SCONS, JBSA-Randolph, Texas 78150-4302, announces the intent to award a firm-fixed price bridge contract on a sole source basis to ATS under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1): Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The anticipated period of performance will include a 3-month base period and 3 1-month option periods from 1 Apr 20 � 30 Sep 20. The award will include FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services clause to provide the flexibility to extend the length of the contract should the need arise.� The anticipated award for a bridge contract to ATS requires contractor support for aircraft and equipment maintenance functions for four (4) UH-1N aircraft in support of the USAF Survival School at Fairchild AFB, WA. The contractor shall support the Tacoma Command Post (TCP) at Cusick, WA; water rescue training in Tillamook, OR; desert rescue training in Vantage, WA; tropical training in Forks, WA; and critical support to the execution of the National Search and Rescue Plan (NSRP). In addition, the Contractor shall support the execution of the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) syllabi and provide critical aircraft and equipment maintenance services to support the evacuation of injured Department of Defense (DoD) personnel from remote training areas. The award of a contract to replace the Fairchild Helicopter Maintenance contract (FA3002-14-C-0005) is in process. The bridge contract is necessary to continue the critical requirement and meet the USAF Survival School, TCP, water rescue, and NSRP missions until such time that performance on the new contract can begin. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. �Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. To be considered by the Government, interested parties must deliver their intent and capabilities to satisfy the government's requirement to the Contracting Officer not later than 2:00 PM CT (Central Time) on 18 Feb 20.� For specific questions, please contact both the Contract Specialist, Andrea M.
