- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes and to determine whether to set-aside the requirement for small businesses. Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to prove a full-depth repair of the parking lot and alley adjacent to Building 104 located onboard Naval Station Great Lakes, IL.� Remove asphalt pavement to the aggregate base.� Haul away and sweep area clean of debris.� Regrade base and provide additional crushed aggregate as necessary to provide positive drainage to existing storm inlets and away from adjacent buildings.� Compact aggregate base and provide 3.5� compacted asphalt pavement section.� Upon completion, re-stripe as to current and existing specifications.� All materials, equipment, and procedures must be in accordance with UFC 3-270-01, O&M Manual: Asphalt and Concrete Pavement Maintenance and Repair, UFC 3-201-01, Civil Engineering, and all other applicable codes/standards. Any contracted work performed on Naval Station Great Lakes is required to follow/meet Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) regulations/certifications. Approximate Quantities: Pavement removal and replacement: 12,500 SF Mill and overlay: 6,000SF Concrete removal and pavement replacement: 2,000 SF The building will be occupied during construction.� The period of performance for this work is 180 calendar days from date of award.� Construction work will not be performed between 1 November and 1 April. Interested small business contractors must be able to comply with FAR Clause 52.219-14, Limitation on Subcontracting, which limits the amount of work performed by subcontractors. Specifically as the prime contractor, your company must perform at least 15% of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with your own employees. If adequate interest is not received from SB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Notifications of interest must be submitted in writing via email; phone calls will not be accepted. Notifications that do not address all the required information in the Sources Sought Questionairre�will not be considered. Interested parties should respond as soon as possible but no later than close of business 17 February 2020.
