- Sources Sought for Bridge Preservation Projects at Canyon de Chelly National Monument (CACH 304900), Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (GLCA 275952), and Tuzigoot National Monument (TUZI 282511) The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING to demonstrate same or similar experience. This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. No proposal package, solicitation, specification or drawings are available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you choose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package: Bridge Preservation Projects at Canyon de Chelly National Monument (CACH 304900), Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (GLCA 275952), and Tuzigoot National Monument (TUZI 282511) and identify your socioeconomic status (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, and Small). Your email capability information MUST be 6 pages or less and be SPECIFIC to the scope provided. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your bonding levels. Your response is due no later than 4:00 pm Mountain Standard Time on February 13, 2020. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.�see 13 CFR 121.108.) Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties. All firms should be registered and certified in www.SAM.gov. Canyon de Chelly National Monument Bridge Preservation Project at Rio de Chelly Bridge NAICS Code: 237310 Estimated Period of Performance: August 2020 - December 2020 Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Bridge Preservation Project at Lees Ferry Road Bridge NAICS Code: 237310 Estimated Period of Performance: August 2020 - December 2020 Tuzigoot National Monument Bridge Preservation Project at Verde River Bridge NAICS Code: 237310 Estimated Period of Performance: August 2020 - December 2020 Estimated Combined Construction Cost Range: $1 Million - $5 Million Project Description The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate bridge structures and associated areas at three (3) separate National Park units: Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and Tuzigoot National Monument. Repairs include stabilizing erosion at bridge slopes, repairing scouring at bridge abutments and piers, painting, bridge deck repairs, repairing or installing new guardrail, paving and striping on deck and approaches, cleaning rebar, clean and reseal deck expansion joints. The project will choose one construction contractor for all three (3) construction sites. ****Firms interested in the project should possess the following specialized skills and experience and address these specialized skills and experience in their responses to this Notice. 1) Experience in the construction of similar complexity and size projects including repairs to concrete bridges, piers and abutments, guardrail repair, conduit repair, paving work, erosion control including rip rap installation. 2) Experience working in a similar environment, including: a. Ability to perform traffic control and working in high traffic area; b. Responsibility for the protection of cultural and natural resources; c. Experience working in remote area where material deliveries and worker commutes are difficult; d. Experience working in a National Park and/or other Federal Agency or similar venue. Bonding Capability Interested firms MUST provide a letter from their bonding company to confirm their bonding capacity. ($5 million).
