Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:� �Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), North East Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) located at Woods Hole, Massachusetts intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Microwave Telemetry Inc. 8835 Columbia 100 Parkway, Suites K & L, Columbia, MD 21045, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13, and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.303.� The anticipated award date is on or about 6 February 2020.� The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 811219 with a business size standard of $20.5M. NEFSC Woods Hole MA as part of multiple scientific programs relies on pop-off satellite tags (PSAT) to collect data on temperatures and depths experienced as well as light level data, allowing researchers to reconstruct the migration path of the tagged fish.� The requirement supports the repair and maintenance of existing government owned equipment. This notice is not a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued. It is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.� Interested parties may identify their interest by providing a capability statement not later than February 6, 2020 at 11:00AM (EST).� The capability statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services.� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.� No solicitation package is available.� Oral communications will not be accepted.
