Description
Request for information (RFI) 36C25520Q0163, Title of Project: Construct Surgical Suite Addition, Project #657-501. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the�Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made to any parties responding to the sources sought announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is to conduct market research to locate interested, experienced and potential qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), Hub-Zone and other Small Businesses, interested and capable of performing the work required by the above cited Construction Project. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be in writing. Responses shall include the following information: (a) company name�� (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code� (g) Tax ID Number (h) Type of small business, Example (Services Disabled Veteran Owned�Small Business, Veteran-owned small business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business HUB-Zone business). (i) Capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability�to perform as a contractor for the work described below.� (j) Surety letter indicating the company s Bonding Compacity (per contract and aggregate).��� Description: GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: Work includes general construction, alterations, and any necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items to Create a 3 OR inpatient surgical/Endovascular Services and Ambulatory surgical. Service on the 2nd Floor of Building 2 and Building 38 where the current recreation hall and kitchen is currently located. ELECTRICAL WORK: Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project including the electrical portion of project in Building 2 which will support the addition of three operating rooms and PACU areas to the second floor and will include a remodel of the kitchen into support spaces. MECHANICAL WORK: Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required Mechanical construction work on this project including the mechanical portion to support Ambulatory Surgical Service area which includes 3 operating rooms (OR) with inpatient surgical/Endovascular Services. The three operating rooms will have all of the support areas and services that are required to support the OR suites per the VA Design Guides. The Government is not obligated, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the VA to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.� The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 236220, Continuation page - Request for information (RFI) 36C25520Q0163, Title of Project: Construct Surgical Suite Addition, Project #657-501. Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (size standard to be considered small business is $39.5 million).�� Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM located on the web at www.sam.gov). It is desirable that any Offeror have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.� Submittal Information: Responses shall indicate the RFI # 36C25520Q0163, Project #657-501, Title: Construct Surgical Suite Addition and shall be limited to 20 pages.
