DISCLAIMER: This Sources Sought is being issued as a Request for Information (RFI) and is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute as a solicitation.� All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly.� In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.� Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION: This is NOT a solicitation announcement.� This is a sources sought synopsis only.� The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification, Hubzone, 8(a), small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business, or service disabled veteran owned small business relative to NAICS 236220, size standard of $39.5M.� Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.� After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published.� Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate response to the solicitation announcement.� The USDA Forest Service, Region Two, Regional Office is seeking sources that have the capability to perform the construction services in the attached Summary of Work.� The information provided is intended to provide a general description of the work for interested parties.� It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the Government that the interested parties have the capability and capacity to perform the service that fulfill the work.� If a solicitation is published, a site visit may be available in order to address the key details.� If you are interested, and are capable of providing the services for this requirement, please provide the requested information as well as the information below.� Responses to this notice should include the company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: Is your business small; If small, does your company qualify as a Small, Emerging Business, or Small Disadvantaged business; If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your company is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act; Is your company a certified Hubzone business; Is your company a Woman-Owned business; Is your company a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or Veteran Owned Small Business; If your company has a FSS GSA contract, please provide the contract number; and Capabilities in regards to the requirement sought to include capability level, subcontractor functions, past performance, experience, management skill, and financial capability. Responses to this email shall be submitted via email to Christina A. Schofield at Christina.schofield@usda.gov.� Telephone responses will not be accepted.� Responses must be received no later than Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1600 Mountain Time.� If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this sources sought.� Responses to this sources sought notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The City of Colorado Springs Airport will construct a ramp; however, in order to be successful in moving operations to the Colorado Springs Airport, the USFS must construct a 2 story airtanker base operational building, a retardant storage building, and a mixing/containment pad for retardant operations.� See the attached Summary of Work for Details.
