Title of Event: Industry Day for Hydraulic and Electronic Patient Lifts for In Home Use Audience: Manufacturers of Hydraulic and or Electronic Patient Lifts When: The Week of April 13, 2020 or May 11, 2020 Where: TBD The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Prosthetic Clinical Management Program (PCMP) has identified Hydraulic & Electric Patient Lift and Slings as potential candidates for standardization as set forth in VHA s PCMP Charter signed by VA s Under Secretary for Health on February 9, 2001. Purpose of Industry Day: VA s current IDIQ contract for Patient Lifts will expire within the next 12 months. VA s purpose in hosting this Industry Day is to collaborate with manufacturers of both Hydraulic and Electric Patient Lifts and Slings to define minimum technical requirements for the upcoming solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 423450 (Medical, Dental and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers). The tentative date for VA s Industry Day is either the week of April 13, 2020 or the week of May 11, 2020 and the location is TBD. Upon receipt of vendor responses to this notice, the Industry Day date and location will be finalized and posted. The VA is interested in the procurement of both the Hydraulic and Electric Patient Lifts and Slings. The specifications of the lifts and slings are included in the document titled Minimum Technical Requirements (MTR) s below. If your company manufactures Hydraulic and/or Electric Patient Lifts and Slings and your products fit within the MTR s stated below and your company would like to participate in the Industry Day, please complete the attached Industry Day Request form included at the end of this notice and send to Michelle Bailey and/or Zachary Wilcox (contact information included below) by February 5, 2020 10:00 AM EST. Due to limited space availability at possible VA locations, this Industry Day can only accommodate Original Equipment Manufacturers. The VA is unable to accommodate the numerous authorized resellers for Hydraulic and/or Electric Patient Lifts and Slings. However, VA is interested in gathering information from the authorized resellers that might be interested in the solicitation once released. If your company would like to assist in the gathering of market research information please complete the attached MARKET RESEARCH INFORMATION/SOLICITATION NOTIFICATION form included with this notice and send to Michelle Bailey and/or Zachary Wilcox (contact information included below) by February 6, 2020 10:00 AM EST. Please provide the following: 1 sling in M, L or XL in a polyester material or equivalent and 1 sling in a more breathable or moisture- wicking type material. Split Leg w/ Head Support - Please provide at a minimum 2 types (general polyester and more breathable type i.e.net/mesh material version Bath/Showering Single Piece with or without cutout Full body single piece, rectangular with head support (two types of material if available) (Other slings) Please provide literature listing other slings that are compatible i.e. limb sling, or amputee sling. ALL SLINGS SHALL INCLUDE: All slings must have head supports All slings must have at least 4 points of attachment on each sling All attachments must be made of fabric and adjustable All slings must have a minimum of 2 adjustments per attachment At least one adult size must support 400Ibs There must be a minimum of 2 Adult sizes per designated sling. All slings must be machine washable Slings must not be constructed of canvas material Warranty Support: Please describe the standard warranty that is offered with your product.
