We have included additional questions in the package titled Amendment 4 (Reference FA8625-19-R-6608). The C-5M, Super Galaxy, Program Office is planning a program to deliver redesigned Multi-Function Display Units (MFDUs). This redesign will resolve known diminishing manufacturing source issues with this Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), avoid projected aircraft Mission Incapable for Parts-based grounding issues, and improve overall aircraft availability metrics. This RFI's intent is obtain industry inputs on issues impinging upon acquisition and contract strategy development. Please note the information requested should not be construed as a decision or commitment to pursue any acquisition. Instead, this information will be compiled to inform the Government's procurement strategy. This Request for Information is requesting your responses for the governments plan to deliver redesigned primary flight display system within the C-5M aircraft for 2 test aircraft. In general, the program will consist of a comprehensive solution for acquisition, sustainment, and interim repair of an RMCD system for all 52 C-5 aircraft. The Engineering Manufacturing & Development (EMD) effort is anticipated to consist of an organic software development effort, specified Group B hardware, and all of the work required to complete the integration of the combined system from those two entities. This work primarily includes installation design, integration testing, systems engineering, and physical installation on two aircraft. We are requesting your response to the following questions in support of the aforementioned integration, systems engineering, and installation aspects of this activity.
