Description
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4, 61 Forsyth Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30303 intends to award a Sole Source purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1), Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), 600 N. Plankinton Ave., Suite 300, Milwaukee, WI, 53203. This requirement is for the acquisition of one on-site Reassessment of US EPA Region 4 conformity to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and supplemental forensic requirements along with conformity to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Environmental Testing and EPA Drinking Water requirements. U.S. EPA is requesting two (2) assessors on site for two consecutive work days, plus travel expenses; preparation and delivery of an assessment report upon assessment completion; and resolution of any non-conformities and/or areas of concern at no additional cost. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE AND NO SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED. ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board is the only source that can provide the specified on-site Reassessment of US EPA Region 4 conformity to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and supplemental forensic requirements along with conformity to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Environmental Testing and EPA Drinking Water requirements. All interested parties who believe they can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities and qualifications in writing within 7 days from the date of this announcement. The documentation provided must include sufficient detail to make a determination that competition is feasible. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation is available. Consequently, anyone failing to provide the aforementioned and instead submits only a routine or standard letter requesting a copy of the statement of work, or provides only basic corporate information will not be considered. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries to this notice must be in writing and should be addressed to Samuel Richardson, Contracts Specialist, via email at Richardson.samuel@epa.gov. Telephone or fax responses will not be considered.
