HZC Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZone) Set-Aside (FAR 19.13)
 
Description
The Government (hereinafter also referred to as �CDC�) requires certain modifications to improve safety at selected battery rooms in Buildings 103, 111, and 161 on the Chamblee campus, and Buildings A, C, and E on the Lawrenceville campus.� A solicitation will be issued to provide the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with a contract to make upgrades to selected battery rooms on the Chamblee and Lawrenceville campuses. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $250,000 and $500,000 A pre-proposal meeting date and location is noted in the solicitation. CDC intends to issue a single award as a result of solicitation 75D301-20-R-67846. It is anticipated that the resulting Firm Fixed Price contract will have a period of perfomance of 180 days after the notice to proceed is issued.� Request for Proposal (RFP), 75D301-20-R-67846, will be posted on www.beta.sam.gov on or about December 20, 2019. Any amendments issued to the soliciation will also be made at the same website. This is set-aside as a HUBZone competitive requirement and as such is limited to eligible HUBZone concerns. The NAICS Codes for this proposed procurement are 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. All responsible HUBZone sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This procurement is a HUBZone set-aside. Responsible HUBZone small business sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The small business size standard for NAICS 236220 is $36.5 million. HUBZone firms must be certified in accordance with solicitation clause, FAR 52.219-8-Utilization of Small Business Concerns. It is the policy of the government to provide maximum practicable opportunities in its acquisitions to small business, veteran-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns. Such concerns must also have the maximum practicable opportunity to participate as subcontractors in the contracts awarded by any executive agency, consistent with efficient contract performance. All offerors are strongly encouraged to contact their local Small Business Administration Office, to post their need for qualified subcontractors at http://www.sba.gov .
