Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Rock Island District - Technical Support Branch, seeks to procure diagnostic and repair services for the hydrographic survey vessel, SV Clark, on a sole source basis with Ross Labs, LLC of Edmonds, WA, in accordance with the 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold and only one source reasonably available. Requirement shall include transportation of the vessel from the LeClaire Service Base, 25549 182nd St., Pleasant Valley, Iowa, to the vendor�s facility for repair, and return to LeClaire Service Base, 25549 182nd St., Pleasant Valley, Iowa.� Work shall include repairing or replacing all Ross Labs, LLC (Ross) electronics including the data collector, Ross sweep electronics and cabling, Ross Sweep Hydraulics and Controls.� Virtually all Ross systems, including hydrographic survey components and sweep system hydraulics and controls were submerged will need to be evaluated and repaired or replaced. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541370 with a size standard of $16.5M. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any SAM registered firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer in the form of a capability statement. Supporting evidence in sufficient detail that demonstrates the ability to comply with the requirement listed must be furnished to the point of contact listed below by 13 January 2020 at 11:00pm CT A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will not reimburse for any costs connected with supplying sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed.
