Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for a construction project at the North Springfield Lake Dam to Replace the Electrical Conduits, in the town of Springfield, VT, to determine the interest, availability, and capability of 8(a), HUBZone, Women-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned concerns as described below.� The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210 (size standard $16.5M).� This project is planned to be issued on or about April 2020.� The estimated construction cost is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This project consists of the following Scope: Remove and replace the existing telephone cable extending from the project office along overhead utility poles through the conduit system to the gatehouse. Remove and replace the existing power conductors extending from the utility transformers to the gatehouse. Remove and replace the existing conduits under the spillway access bridge to include pull boxes, expansion joints, and hangers. Remove and replace the existing strong motion power and communication conduits from the pull box to approximately ten feet past the point of burial. Remove associated disconnect switch. Remove existing abandoned conduit and associated conductors if present.� Remove and replace the existing power, instrumentation and communication conduits from the dam crest abutment to the gatehouse.� These conduits are affixed underneath the service bridge. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following:� business classification (i.e. HUBZone, etc.) as well as qualifications and experience in performing the work components stated above. �Firms must submit past demonstrated construction experience similar to the components stated above.� The project examples must have been performed within the last seven years.� �However, the experience does not have to be demonstrated on one single project.� Please indicate the team subcontractors that will be used to support the offeror�s effort and include their prior experience and qualifications, if subcontractors are planned to be used. Please include a Point of Contact and phone number for each project example who may be contacted for further information on contractor�s effort and performance.� Proof of bonding capability must be submitted with the package.� Responses are due January 21, 2020.� Responses should be emailed to Contract Specialist Sara J. Torres at sara.j.torres@usace.army.mil .� Responses are limited to fifteen. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to 12this market survey nor return the data provided.� This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation.� The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.�
