Description
The U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) / Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is planning to issue a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to procure prototype or commercially available off-the-shelf Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communications devices to support US DOTs 5.9 GHz Safety Band Spectrum Testing. The devices will be used to evaluate the safety, performance and capabilities of available equipment/devices and underlying technologies through both small and large scale testing, including scalability and congestion, interoperability, and complex transportation scenarios. This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. As such, no written, telephonic or other type of request for an advance copy of the BAA will be provided. Potential offerors are encouraged to register on beta.SAM.gov to receive any further information about the subject action inclusive of any announcements, and/or amendments to the BAA after its release. The solicitation and all related documents will be released electronically via the Government Point of Entry (GPE) at beta.SAM.gov. Once the BAA is posted, all interested, responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the FHWA. The FHWA anticipates awarding multiple, firm-fixed priced contracts as a result of the BAA. The period of performance for each contract shall not exceed 18 months from the effective date of the contract award. The NAICS Code for this effort is 541990, with a size standard of $15 Million. Any questions or comments pertaining to this synopsis shall be directed to Amalia Rodezno, Contract Specialist at Amalia.Rodezno@dot.gov, with a cc: to Veronica L. Price, Contracting Officer at veronica.price@dot.gov.
