- Regional Procurement Office (RPO) - East intends to negotiate on a sole source basis Meso Scale Discovery (Meso Scale Diagnostics, LLC), 1120 15th Street, 1601 Research Boulevard, Rockville, Maryland, 20850, to purchase a Meso QuickPlex SQ 120 System for the Augusta VA. This microscope system will be used to observe the phase-contrast morphology and fluorescent signals in cultured cells in current and future studies. The following equipment will be purchased: ITEM INFORMATION ITEM NUMBER DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES QUANTITY UNIT 0001 MESO QUICKPLEX SQ 120 system including: QuickPlex External Power Supply USB 3.0 Cable Power Cord (type varies by region) Laptop Computer, Windows 7 Power Supply with US and EU Power Cord Discovery Workbench Data Analysis software (installed on the instrument computer) External Wireless Mouse MSD Red Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS, model varies by region) MESO QuickPlex Electronic Plate 1.00 EA Statement of Need The equipment requested offers affordable access to high-performance, electrochemiluminescence immunoassays. This compact system has been engineered for reliability, ease of use, and low cost of ownership. The combination of rapid read times and the ability to perform multiple, simultaneous tests on a single sample increases productivity, saves sample, and delivers results quickly. The QuickPlex has a wide menu of commercially available assay kits and a full line of components and reagents for developing customized assays. Technical Requirements Electrochemical stimulation (initiated at the electrode surface) and Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) Detection capability. Capability to read 96 plates in short time (no more than 5 minutes) Instruments should not need any fluid for its operation Equipment must include at least one discovery workbench computer, including Data Analysis software (incorporated into the instrument computer) Vendor to provide installation and software/training upon delivery of the instrument. At least one-year warranty must be provided This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any responsible sources who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide this equipment or equipment that is compatible must notify this Contracting Specialist at millicent.covert@va.gov NLT Thursday, January 16, 2020 by 11:59 AM EST. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Upon receipt of the interested parties' notification, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations.
