- Description
- GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation to install a single phase 208V circuit and plug in Hangar 1 and two circuits (1x 120V and 1x single phase 208V) in Hangar 3. Items in this scope of work are considered the major items of work required to complete the work effort, and in no way limits details & work not specified included that the contractor is responsible for and required to be installed. This may include requirements in referenced documents, code requirements, and workmanship details. POINTS OF CONTACT -The Contracting Officer (KO) is Tim Cowley (907) 487-5180 x6619. -The Contracting Officers Representative (COR) is Forrest Wallace (907) 888-3000. SCOPE The following items comprise the scope of work for this project. Items will not necessarily be completed in the order listed. HANGAR 1 PROP SHOP: General Description: Demo one 120V circuit in Hangar 1s Propeller Shop fed by Panel 1LE. Circuit is fed from breaker 22 and runs via cable to an existing hydraulic jenny. Keep disconnect mounted to wall. Install one new 208V single phase circuit with a 15Amp two pole breaker to power the existing hydraulic jenny via a receptacle mounted immediately below the existing disconnect. New EMT conduit (approximately 70 feet) will run from the panel to the disconnect on the wall then down to the new receptacle. Install a new plug on the hydraulic jenny and land conductors on appropriate terminals in the hydraulic jenny. Cable connecting the hydraulic jenny should be reused with the new plug. All work is in the same room as the panel. Detailed Description: Demo circuit from panel 1LE CKT 22 in the prop shop of Hangar 1 to include associated cable leave disconnect in place. Provide demod materials to the Govt. Install one new 15 Amp two pole breaker. Relabel panel schedule with the new Hydraulic Jenny circuit. Run new EMT conduit exterior from the panel to the ceiling, to the plan West wall then down to the existing disconnect and to a new L6-15R outlet below. PropShopPower.pdf shows approximate locations. Label outlet box with panel and circuit numbers. Replace existing label on disconnect. Use 3 new conductors, 12AWG THHN/THWN (neutral unused). Install a new L6-15P on the Hydraulic Jenny cable. This may require replacing the existing cord (approximately 30 feet). At connection to hydraulic jenny, use a metallic box cable connector with a strain relief function to protect terminal landings and wire. Rewire Hydraulic Jenny cable connections to appropriate terminals as outlined on page 15 in DowtyPUB1108TestRig9133-D.pdf. Ground/bond per NEC. Coordinate work inspection prior to establishing power to the Hydraulic Jenny. HANGAR 3 RADAR ROOM: General Description: Install two new circuits to power a new laser engraver in Hangar 1s Radar Room. One circuit will have a single dedicated 20 A receptacle and one circuit will have a 208V single phase receptacle with a 15 amp breaker. Reuse existing pathways as much as is practical. Receptacles are located in the same room as the panel. Detailed Description: In Panel 1NLD, use circuits 17 and 19 to install a new 208V single phase 15 Amp breaker with a single NEMA L6-15R receptacle. Receptacle location is NE Corner of the room. Coordinate with COR for exact placement. Use #10 wiring with #12 ground in 3/4"" EMT. It is possible that there may be reusable conduit pathways. Confirm 208 volts at outlet and report voltage to the COR. Remove original receptacle associated with circuits 17 and 19 located in the NE corner of the room and attach a cover plate. Label cover plate with pathway source (PNL 1NLD). Install a single NEMA 5-20R receptacle fed from 20 amp circuit #41. Reuse conduit from existing circuit 41. Refer to Hanger3Outlets_134Plan.pdf for locations. Label outlets and wiring in the outlets covered by this work with panel and circuit number. Update panel schedule. Ground conduit and equipment per NEC. All conduit will be EMT. All work will install new THHN/THWN conductors and reuse existing conduit as much as practical. Minimum conductor size is 12. All work shall comply with NFPA 70, the NEC. Unsatisfactory performance shall result in work being re-accomplished at no cost to the government. The ability to reuse pathways is not guaranteed by this SOW. Locations of existing equipment shown in drawings may be inaccurate. Spring type connectors will not be used in this project. The Contractor shall keep the COR or KO fully informed on the daily progress of the work; from the start through completion of inspection. The government shall use a 100% surveillance method. Inspection of work shall be performed periodically while work is being performed and prior to contractor leaving the site.
