Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center VISN 12, 820 S. Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60612-4223, under the authority of FAR 13 (41 U.S.C. 1901 and implemented for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) ) , intends to request quotation on a sole source basis with Johnson Controls to facilitate the repair, maintenance and ongoing functionality of the Simplex Fire Alarm system currently deployed at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. NAICS 561621, with a size standard of $22 million applies. Johnson Controls has full possession and license to all proprietary software of SimplexGrinnell Model 4100 fire alarm system currently deployed at the above-mentioned facility. Johnsons Control will provide repair deficiencies for defective devices and components during discovery of the FY 2019 annual fire alarm testing. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and services, including transportation cost necessary to provide repair services for the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center fire alarm system, for the period of one year after Date of award. Services are to be provided in strict accordance with all schedules, specifications, terms, conditions and provisions of this contract. Any respondent to this notice must show that they have the capability to provide repair services to all proprietary software of SimplexGrinnell Model 4100 fire alarm system to include software on the server, control panels, nodes, monitoring systems, and other supporting system software. The Certified technician will make programming changes for any corrections and modifications to the inventory of existing devices and entries for new devices, or the maintenance, or the inspection services documentation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 pm Local Time on Friday, January 10, 2020. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
