- Dworshak Unit 3 Thrust Bearing Oil Cooler Sources Sought Notice: W912EF20RSS14 The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources for a supplies contract entitled: Dworshak Unit 3 Thrust Bearing Oil Cooler. The work is located at Dworshak Dam in Ahsahka, Idaho. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project will be�332410 and the associated small business size standard is�750 employees. Anticipated contract award May 2020. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish the work.� This is not a solicitation.� Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. All interested and capable contractors are encouraged to respond.� The Government will not pay for any information solicited.� Respondents will not be notified of the results of the sources sought evaluation.� One of the main functions of this sources sought notice is to assist the Contracting Officer in determining whether an 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Certified HUBZone Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) or Small Business set-aside is an acceptable strategy for this procurement.� If a full and open competition is ultimately pursued, responses to this synopsis may be used to aid in establishing realistic, achievable small business subcontracting goals. Firms interested in this requirement should submit a statement of interest and capabilities that is no more than 10 pages in length, single-spaced, 12-point font minimum demonstrating ability to perform the requested requirement (i.e., fabricate shell and tube type heat exchangers). The capability package must be complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the firm's qualifications to perform the defined work. The documentation shall address, as a minimum, the following: (1) STATEMENT OF INTEREST (a) Confirm that your company is interested and intends to submit a quote / bid / proposal when a solicitation is issued. (2) COMPANY PROFILE (a) Company name and address (b) Point of contact at the company including name, title, telephone number, fax number and e-mail addresses (c) Provide a statement of your firm�s business size (HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), small disadvantaged, or woman-owned) with regards to the NAICS code listed above. (d) DUNS number and CAGE code. (3) CURRENT AND PAST PROJECTS (a) A list of current or past projects demonstrating technical experience with work of a similar nature to that listed in the Summary Scope of Work.� For each project submitted, provide a brief narrative statement of the work involved, your firm�s role in the project, performance period, the dollar value and the completion date.� Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications, applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel. (b) A reference list for each of the projects submitted in a) above.� Include the name, title, phone number and email address for each reference. (5) PROVIDE RESPONSES TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS (a) Has [the firm] fabricated shell and tube heat exchangers in the past 5 years?� If yes please highlight those on the list generated for 4(a) above. (b) Does [the firm] own or have access to equipment that is used to perform hydrostatic pressure testing of heat exchangers?� Submit this information to Zackery Hoffer, Contract Specialist, via email to Zackery.A.Hoffer@usace.army.mil. Your response to this notice must be received on or before 10:00 A.M P/ST. on Monday, January 27, 2020. Summary of Scope of Work: For this requirement the successful offeror shall manufacture, supply, and deliver a thrust bearing oil cooler system. The thrust bearing oil cooler system consists of shell and tube type heat exchangers that use raw river water as a cold fluid to cool the oil for the generator thrust bearing. The Contractor shall manufacture, supply, and deliver thrust bearing oil cooler tube bundles, with tube sheets, for the shell and tube heat exchangers.� The Government will install the system. The estimated period of performance is June 2020 � October 2020.
