- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE This is NOT a solicitation for a proposal, proposal abstract, or quote. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding qualified business sources.� The responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The House Child Care Center is seeking Child Care Center Teacher Support Staff to support the Child Care Center. The contractor staff will be responsible for supporting and providing the day-to-day delivery of exemplary child care services to the House Community.� The Center provides full-day, year-round quality childcare for children (10 weeks to 5 years of age) of employees of the House of Representatives and other Legislative and Federal agencies. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Center program is based on the philosophy that babies and children thrive in a warm, safe, nurturing environment that provides for their growth intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.� The Center implements the Creative Curriculum, a theory and research-based framework that helps us understand how children develop and learn and allows us to provide an optimal learning environment and engaging learning experiences. Major Duties include: Support the day-to-day delivery of child care services in assigned classroom.� Provide care for children including changing diapers/toileting, feeding, and comforting. Ensure all children�s physical, cognitive, and emotional needs are met. Prioritize health and safety; includes, but not limited to: conduct daily child health and safety checks, maintain child to staff ratios, provide active supervision of children, be aware of all special health and dietary needs, monitor and respond appropriately to illness & injury and emergency situations, follow cleaning & sanitation guidelines, and utilize universal precautions.� Participate in developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum and assessment planning, implementation, and documentation.� Support children and families through transitions including enrollment and withdrawal, between classrooms, to and from home each day, and between activities throughout the day. Contribute to the classroom, Child Care Center, and CAO team.� Maintain accurate records and logs in a timely and organized fashion.� Develop and maintain familiarity and compliance with, and established systems for meeting all applicable legal requirements, House Rules, Committee and CAO policies and procedures, as well as specific House Child Care Center practices and procedures.� These include but are not limited to: The Personnel Policies and Procedures for the Officers and Inspector General,the supplemental policies and procedures thereof; CAO Work Schedule Policies; and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards. Monitor usage and inventory levels of all supplies and materials and advise Administrators of related needs and issues. Establish positive relationships with each child, family member, and coworker. Communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing.� Maintain confidentiality.� Utilize developmentally and situationally appropriate behavior management techniques. The Capability Statement shall meet the following criteria: On page one (1) of the Capability Statement, begin by providing your company information as follows: Company name, address, phone number, CAGE code, DUNS number, GSA Contract Number (if applicable) and point of contact (name, phone and e-mail). Capability Statement must be in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or Adobe PDF format, single spaced, 11-point font (excluding charts and graphics) and the entire document shall not to exceed 5 pages in length to include all attachments, charts, etc. Capability Statement must include but is not limited to (a) companies core capabilities (b) corporate experience and management capability; and examples of prior completed Government contracts (if any), references, and other related information; Disclaimer and Important Notes This Sources Sought does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization�s qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. Please note that the United States House of Representatives is not subject to Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) or any of its supplements. Confidentiality No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
