Description
The purpose of this survey is to locate sources of supply that are capable of providing engineering services to support the development and production of additively manufactured metal electromagnetic waveguides for the United States (U.S.) Army that meet the performance specifications of the legacy waveguides, currently manufactured via traditional manufacturing methods and materials. The Government has full data rights to these items and technical data will be made available according to associated International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) restrictions. Answering this Market Survey: The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening or request for proposal of any kind. The U.S. Government is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Responses will not be returned. The Government will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from industry, including small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms. Potential vendors should provide information, data, or documentation, which show that they have previously produced waveguides utilizing additive manufacturing, have the personnel with additive manufacturing and waveguide experience, and have the capabilities necessary to complete the task. All proprietary and restricted information should be clearly marked. All information received in response to this Market Survey marked ""Proprietary"" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. MARKET SURVEY QUESTIONNAIRE: Sources responding to this request for information should submit their Capability Statement (no longer than 10 pages) and complete the following questions. If a question does not apply, please enter non-applicable (N/A). Additional information may be provided to support your technical capabilities of producing high performance metal waveguides that can be produced additively. Describe your company's experience in metal additive manufacturing, manufacturing processes and equipment, post processing techniques, and quality inspection of parts in similar complexity of the shape of the shape and complexity of the waveguide described. Describe your company's experience creating computer-aided design (CAD) & computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) model(s) from Adobe .pdf files. Does your company have experience with waveguides and production of waveguides in or near the X-band? Provide examples. Does your company have experience with metal Additive Manufacturing? Provide examples and define experience. Describe your company's experience in quality inspection of metal additively manufactured parts, specifically waveguides. Discuss your company's capability in meeting U.S. Government contracting delivery order schedules. Describe the level of expertise of your technicians have (e.g. certification required and specific training). Does your company meet the requirements needed to handle ITAR related items and materials, if so provide Contract Number, point of contact (POC), e-mail address, phone number, and a brief description of your direct support of the effort? Please provide appropriate DUNS Number(s). Include if you are a small business and other designation that you may have such as but not limited to: (veteran owned, woman owned, minority owned, disadvantaged service disable veteran, etc.). All responses to this market survey should be emailed to the Team lead and Technical POC: Jeffrey Wallace, Jeffrey.a.wallace36.civ@mail.mil, (443) 395-5370, and Kevin Brower, kevin.c.brower.civ@mail.mil, (443) 395-6380 by 29 February 2020 at 3:00pm EST.
