Description
The purpose of this synopsis is to solicitate industry for any capability statements which outline the ability to meet the requirements outlined below in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(d)(2): U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) has an on-going and continuously uninterrupted need to contract for detention and transportation services to provide, operate, and manage a contract detention facility (CDF) in the San Antonio Area of Responsibility until the services are transitioned to a subsequent awardee under competitive solicitation 70CDCR20R00000001. Current services expire 1/31/2020.� Option periods in the proposed extension will only be exercised if needed to allow for the completion of the current competition, award, and transition to the new competitively awarded contract.� ICE intends to issue a sole source award for a base period of two months and two two-month optional periods (total of six months).� The Government�s baseline requirements are for continuing existing services at the location without interrupting ongoing operations.� All detention services must adhere to ICE Performance-Based National Detention Standards 2011 (PBNDS 2011), with 2016 revisions (https://www.ice.gov/detention-standards/2011). Potential performance barriers for a prospective vendor could be: Must be located within 50 driving miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and no more than 30 driving miles from a major hospital and emergency services. The facility(ies) shall have access to public and commercial transportation routes and services. Administrative and support space for ICE staff of approximately 27 employees Support of approximately 520 population size The Contractor shall provide administrative and support space for Health Services (IHSC) staff of approximately 45 medical staff Services are currently provided at: 1001 Welch St.� Taylor, TX, 76574 With this synopsis, ICE is requesting any vendor capability statements.
