- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (CCDC-AC) Materials, Manufacturing and Prototype Technology (MM&PT) Division at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide a Wire EDM.DISCLAIMER: This sources sought is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the GPE for additional information pertaining to this requirement.Background: The MM&PT Division’s Prototyping Facility has a need for one (1) GF Machining Solutions CUT P350 wire EDM, brand name or equivalent to support the manufacture of prototypes for several new programs. This effort will include the purchase, delivery, final installation and training of the system.The one (1) GF Machining Solutions CUT P350 wire EDM, brand name or equivalent shall meet the following technical performance requirements: Work piece dimensions (31”x 21”x8”) minimum Cutting area, axis travel X,Y,Z - 13”x 8”x 8” minimum Taper cutting +- 30 degrees Four sided interior work table for work piece fixturing Dimensions of Equipment footprint (84” W x 96” L x 108” H) Maximum Submerged Cutting Automatic Door with drain Transformer or configuration to accept 480 volt, 3 phase, 60 Hz incoming power. rConnect - Live Remote Assistance, extended Wire Guides to run .008”, .010”, .012”, size cutting wire. Chiller for Dielectric fluid, 230 volt input. Filtration for Dielectric Extended Filtration 45 degree taper cutting capability Automatic centralized lubrication for axes. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interest and capability to satisfy the above requirements by identifying the following items:1. Company Name2.
