SOLE SOURCE NOTICETHIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BIDS, QUOTES, OR PROPOSAL. AT THIS TIME NO SOLICITATION EXISTS.This is a notice of intent to issue a contract to Broadcast Electronic Inc., 4100 North 24th St. Quincy, IL 62305, on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed acquisition is for the procurement of twelve AudioVault Wheatstone audio over IP (AoIP) driver software and associated on-site technical services. This equipment is needed for the Broadcast Journalism (BJ) add-on of the Mass Communications Foundations (MCF) course at the Defense Information School. The BJ add-on requires six channels of audio per AudioVault instead of the current four channels of audio. In order to facilitate the requirement, this procurement will migrate twelve AudioVault systems from the Digigram 882HR hardware sound card to digital AoIP systems. This migration will allow 8-channels, in & out, of audio over CAT 6 cable which will meet the course’s requirement. The applicable North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 334220, with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees.THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETTIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this portion of the proposed contract requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 01:00pm PST on Tuesday, 19 November 2019. All responses must be submitted in writing and via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information, or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
