- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Background: The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) is one of the nation’s premier research institutions in the areas of clinical research in muscle, skin, bone, autoimmune and rheumatic diseases. Investigators within the Intramural Research Program of NIAMS rely on the Genomics Technology Section to meet the increasing demands of research, by providing different tools the study these diseases.NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) data is a critical component of the research conducted by NIAMS IRP scientists, and there has been a steady increase in its use throughout the institute. Prior to implementing Illumina BaseSpace Clarity LIMS, the workflow for submitting sequencing samples was a manual and tedious process that could not effectively support and track the number of samples submitted. The acquisition of the BaseSpace Clarity LIMS software on 12/2018 was only solution to provide full integration with Illumina sequencers. The software has satisfied the needs for end-to-end workflow tracking and integration, time-saving automation, preconfigured workflows, management reporting functionality, support for regulatory compliance, and role-based interfaces designed to match the needs of individuals in the lab. Objectives: To continue supporting NIAMS IRP research efforts with cutting-edge technology that meet the increasing demands in genomics research, we are seeking an annual LIMS software license subscription. This software will be used by multiple labs for the submission of sequencing samples and to track sequencing data sets.
