Subject: Request For Information (RFI) - Industry Feedback Requested Regarding the Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Development, Security, Operations (DevSecOps) Initiative.Overview: Industry Feedback Requested Regarding the Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Development, Security, Operations (DevSecOps) Initiative.THIS IS A RFI ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request For Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The purpose of this RFI is to inquire feedback regarding the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Initiative.Responders are advised that the United States Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense.Submittals will not be returned to the responder. It is the responsibility of potential Offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement.Description: The United States Air Force (USAF) is in the process of modernizing software acquisition efforts through the application of Agile and DevSecOps. By leveraging DoD Enterprise established software automated tools, services, and standards, the intent is to enable programs to rapidly develop, secure, deploy, and operate software applications in a secure, flexible, and interoperable fashion.The DoD Enterprise DevSecOps initiative seeks to provide: Infrastructure and platform services Hardened and authorized tools and software capabilities DevSecOps information and reference design Best practices, training, and support Written feedback is requested regarding contractual, acquisition, process, technology, and workforce considerations and recommendations No Later Than (NLT) 2 Dec 19, 2PM Eastern.This information will inform an assessment regarding readiness and appropriateness for the adoption of DevSecOps practices in AFNWC/NC programs and help shape future contractual and programmatic activities. The intent is for Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center (AFNWC/NC) to establish a dialogue between contractors, currently on contract for an AFNWC/NC program, and USAF acquisition officials about how secure software acquisition efforts may be accelerated. Respondents shall first request to be included in the dialog via the POC of this posting. Respondents qualifying through this RFI will receive information on the DoD DevSecOps reference design.
