- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEThe Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, located at 4811 Airport Plaza Drive, Long Beach, CA 90815 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items.The intended Contractor is MedAbbrev.com located at 605 Louis Drive, Ste 508B, Warminster, PA 18974-2830.The place of performance is at the VA Greater San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) located at 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161-0002.This requirement shall be used to provide licenses for medical abbreviations at the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). The contract period shall be for one (1) base year, with the Government having the option to exercise four (4) one-year option periods.The contractor shall provide multi-user licenses for medical abbreviations; 55,000 conveniences at the expense of communication and safety including enhancements available via internet including a do not use list and regional and organizational lists.This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. This will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award and an anticipated award date is set for 12/02/2019.The proposed period of performance shall be from December 9, 2019 through December 8, 2020 (Base year). Total estimated value for the Base Year is $10,500.00.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 511130 Book Publishers. Product of Service Code for this requirement is, Q999 Medical - Other. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 1,000 employees.This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only.
