- 36C25020Q0134SPECIAL NOTICENOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEVentilated Lab CagingThe Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(b)(1)-Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 332618 with a small business size standard of 500. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Lab Products, Inc 742 Sussex Avenue P.O. Box 639 Seaford, Delaware 19973.The research department at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VAMC is requesting RAIR HD ventilated caging and other components to accommodate the growing use of the laboratory. Caging shall be multifunctional and able to house different species. These ventilated mouse and rat racks will be integrated with the Lab Products racks currently in place in the lab, and the pieces are only interchangeable with other Lab Products caging. Caging shall also have an identical ventilation system to work with the laboratory s HVAC system, which was specifically redesigned for the use of Lab Products caging systems. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Monday November 25, 2019 at 4pm. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. �All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
