This procurement is being solicited pursuant to FAR Part 12, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is currently funding for this procurement, however the funding is limited.Statement of Work -frameless welded galvanized steel wire (6 gauge) 5’ x 16’ graduated livestock/wire panels. The Alabama Feral Swine Program requires a specific livestock/wire panel for trapping feral swine in the field. These panels will be deployed statewide. These frameless, welded galvanized steel wire panels shall be constructed of 6 gauge galvanized steel and have an expected life period of performance of no less than 10 years. The panels must also be, what is commonly referred to in the industry as, “graduated”. This means that the panels must have 2”x 6” openings at the bottom, gradually increasing to 6” x 6“openings at the top as more fully specified as attached in Exhibit 1. The reason for this requirement is to keep small piglets from escaping at the bottom, while reducing the weight of the panel, making it possible for one feral swine trapper to lift the panel by themselves. The panels shall not be constructed of anything less (smaller) than 6 gauge metal, galvanized and welded at all cross members. The panels must be 5 feet tall. The panels shall be 16 feet in total length. The program anticipates a need for 900 panels, however the number ordered will be price dependent.SpecificationsSpecifications for the frameless welded galvanized steel wire livestock panels are as described in the attached at Exhibit 1. The item shall be constructed of 6 gauge galvanized steel wire and constructed in such a manner so as to have an expected life use of no less than 10 years. The graduated panel, as attached in Exhibit 1, shall have 2 inch by 6 inch openings at the bottom, eight in number vertically, graduating to 4 inch by 6 inch openings eight in number vertically, graduating to 6 inch by 6 inch openings two in number vertically as further detailed in attached Exhibit 1.DeliveryDelivery within 60 days to USDA, APHIS , WS Alabama State Office, School of Forestry & Wildlife Services, 602 Duncan Drive, Auburn University, Auburn, AL 36849.
