Description
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) intends to issue a cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) and firm-fixed-priced (FFP) solicitation on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, 1001 Boston Post Rd. E., Marlborough, MA 01752-3770. The requirement will include technical and engineering services in support of the MK99 Fire Control System (FCS) and AN/SPY-1 Radar programs. The required services includes: weapon systems field engineering, ordnance alteration installation, obsolescence related technical support and supplies, support of reliability/maintainability issues, production and rework, testing and evaluation and other lifecycle support functions.NSWC PHD intends to issue the solicitation pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Full and open competition need not be provided for when the supplies or services required are available from only one responsible source, or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements.Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit capability statements to Christopher Seto, via email to christopher.seto@navy.mil, with a copy sent to Michael Thompson at michael.d.thompson4@navy.mil by 14:00 Pacific Standard Time on 6 December 2019. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals, however, the Government will consider all capability statements received before the response date. The information received will be used for the sole purpose of determining whether or not a competitive procurement should be conducted. The determination not to compete this proposed requirement based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.The Government will not compensate any respondents of this synopsis for any information received or any costs incurred in preparing information for, participating in meetings with, or communicating with the Government.Attachments:Statement of Work (for informational use only)
