- INTRODUCTIONOn behalf of the Support Ships, Boats, and Craft Program Office (PMS325), the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) announces a series of Breakout Sessions to be held during the 2019 International Workboat Show (IWBS) in New Orleans, LA. IWBS participation is not required to attend these Breakout Sessions and there will be no admission to attend the breakout session. The objective of these sessions is to inform industry of the anticipated program office acquisition schedule and contract requirements. The Navy also aims to become more knowledgeable regarding advancements in marine technology available for future acquisitions. The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform industry of the events and to determine interest in attendance and participation. DISCLAIMERThis is a Special Notice, only. This Special Notice is for informational planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Navy for any actual procurement of materials, machinery, or services. This notice does not constitute a solicitation or a promise of a solicitation in the future. This Special Notice does not commit the Navy to contract for any supply or service. Respondents are advised that the Navy will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Special Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Special Notice are solely at the responding parties’ expense. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Navy to form a binding contract or agreement. The Navy will not be obligated to pursue any particular acquisition alternative because of this Special Notice. Not responding to this Special Notice does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if one is issued. SUMMARY:PMS325 Breakout Sessions will be held during the 2019 International WorkBoat Show (IWBS). The events will begin on 04 December 2019 and will allow the Navy to interact with industry, learn about current and future marine technology, and assess industry capabilities as they pertain to future Navy Acquisitions. This Special Notice is for planning purposes only. DATE, LOCATION, AGENDA, REGISTRATION, LOGISTICSWHEN: December 4th, 2019, see break-out schedule belowWHERE: The PMS325Q/U events will be held in the Rivergate Room, which is located within the Great Hall of the Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LAWHAT: The overall objective of these Industry Engagements is to provide industry and interested parties with information that will assist in the understanding of current technical requirements and the projected near term schedule for potential PMS325 solicitations, and also to gain feedback from industry on design, outfitting, and equipment trends that may impact future contract requirements.
