Description
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE.This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is in support of Market Research being conducted by the US Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal to identify potential manufacturing/supply sources, and if future efforts can be competitive or Set Aside for Small Business. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413, which has a corresponding Size Standard of 1,250 employees. This SSS is to notify companies that the Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is seeking qualified sources for the acquisition of STIFFENER, AIRCRAFT; NSN: 1560-01-587-3072, P/N: 7-311113512-169 in support of the AH-64 Apache weapon system.The Government does not have adequate data, lacks rights to data, or both needed to purchase this part from additional sources. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government is interested in all businesses to include 8(a), small business and small disadvantaged business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. All contractors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be registered as a potential source. Firms that possess the ability and can produce the required item(s) described above are encouraged to identifythemselves. Contractors are encouraged to seek source approval in order to competefor future solicitations by accessing the website:https://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar then click onAMCOM Spare Parts Manufacturer or Distributor SAR.The contractor shall be capable of successfully performing and complying with any andall special requirements in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in thesolicitation annotated above, at the unit prices established at time of a contract award.The contractor will be responsible for recurring and nonrecurring engineering servicesassociated with becoming a qualified source. The contractor will also be responsible forall aspects of the manufacturing/production process, including but not limited to: supplychain management, logistics, forecasting of parts, long-lead parts procurement, materialforecasting, obsolescence issues and final delivery of assets as well as any and alladditional costs incurred resulting from contract performance.This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and should not beconstrued as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. This announcementdoes not constitute a RFP. A synopsis will be issued at a later date for this requirement.Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. No reimbursement will be madefor any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcementand any follow-up information requested. No basis for claim against the Governmentshall arise as a result of a response to this announcement or Government use of anyinformation provided. This announcement does not restrict the Government to anultimate acquisition strategy. The Government reserves the right to consider acquisitionstrategies as deemed appropriate.
