- The CFPB is seeking to lease parking spaces on a regular basis. At the present time, the employees that are located at 1990 K Street, NW will be consolidating into 1700 G Street. Some of those employees currently park their vehicles at the parking garage at 1990 K Street, NW Washington, DC. That contract will end March 31, 2020 when CFPB relocates the employees to 1700 G Street. The existing garage at 1700 G Street does not have enough parking spaces to accommodate the employees who will require parking and will be relocating from 1990 K Street, NW. CFPB requires seventy-five (75) indoor, covered, and secure parking spaces. No fewer than three (3) of these spaces must be reserved for personnel with disabilities, so that CFPB is able to provide reasonable accommodation and work access for those with disabilities. The agency also requires access to the parking facility 24/7, 365 days per year, to accommodate staff who work late and on weekends. Providing parking facilities without 24-hour access would negatively impact the CFPB work place, since employees would not have reasonable and flexible 24/7 access, without delay, in order to timely conduct their assigned duties. Additionally, CFPB requires that these facilities be immediately within the vicinity of its offices on 1700 G Street, NW to ensure the safety of staff at that location as well as provide reasonable access for those with disabilities. Market research indicates only Colonial parking has 75 monthly spaces available within the required area. The Director’s Office and NTEU agreed that supplemental parking would be provided within the vicinity, between 17th and 19th Streets, NW and along Pennsylvania Avenue between 17th and 19th Streets, NW.
