- This Special notice is posted to inform potential sources that Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR) will be holding a virtual Industry Day for the requirement identified herein. The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to competitively award a Historical Underutilized Business (HUB) zone set-aside Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) for the production of Weapons Containers including, but not limited to, containers for the Miniature Air Launched Decoy-Navy (MALD-N) and the Twin Lug Laser Guided Training Rounds (TLLGTR) systems. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.Draft documentation was provided to those that provided their HUB zone status in accordance with the previous sources sought announcement that was posted in FBO 12 June 2019 and updated 20 August 2019. Any other interested parties that require the draft documentation for review may submit their HUB zone status and request the documentation by emailing the primary POC listed below. The Government contemplates a five-year FFP IDIQ MAC type contract. Responsible, interested, HUB Zone certified parties are encouraged to participate in a NAVAIR Virtual Industry Day on 12 December 2019. This Virtual Industry Day will be conducted via telephone conference. The plan is for NAVAIR to present an overview of the requirement to all participants via a group dial-in starting at approximately 0900 Eastern Time. Participants are also able to register for one-on-one session with the Government to present their capability to perform the requirement. The one-on-one session will be limited to approximately 20 minutes. Questions will not be answered during the one-on-one session, however the Government will collect any questions asked during the one-on-one discussions. All questions and answers will be distributed to all participants within 10 days after the Industry Day. To register to participate in the Industry Day, please contact Patrice Hopkins, FXDO Acquisition Lead at Patrice.hopkins@navy.mil by 17:00 Eastern Time on 3 December 2019. Patrice Hopkins will confirm your registration and provide you with a group dial-in number for the Government presentation and an individual dial-in number and time slot for the one on one session.Please note a determination by the Government not to proceed with a HUB competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
