Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. A solicitation is not currently available. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.All qualified Contractors may submit capability statements for consideration. Responses to this request will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, and management capability to perform this type of work. Capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. We encourage all Small Business� to respond. In accordance with Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 36.204 Disclosure of Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The applicable NAICS Code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The small business size standard is $15 mil. The U S Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office (YAO) has a requirement to improve YAO�s emergency communication system and fire suppression system for the YAO Administration Building (including the industrial area which houses the YDP, Warehouse and Maintenance Shop)The work requirement includes: � Removing and disposing of existing fire alarm systems, and wide area mass notification system.� Installing new addressable fire alarm control systems, mass notification systems, and wide area mass notification system.� Removing and disposing of existing Halon 130I fire suppression systems.� Removing and replacing all fire smoke dampers in the Administration building.� Installing new clean agent systems, including room integrity upgrades.� Modifying existing sprinkler systems:a. Installing supervised valves and flow switches (where needed).b. Installing insulation for exterior piping.c. Abandoning hose stations located within water processing area.� Patching and painting of walls and ceilings disturbed by this project.Interested parties shall include the following information in their capability statement: (1) Business name, address, cage code, size classification based on NAICS size standard, Small Business classification (Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, 8a, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business etc.), and a point of contact; (2) A positive statement of your intention to submit an offer/bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor;(3) Evidence of your experience performing work similar in type and scope to the work in this announcement within the last five years. The evidence should include: contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts and points of contacts with telephone numbers for similar scope and complexity turnkey projects completed or substantially completed within the last five years. Please do not include more than three past projects;(4) Include attachments cataloging the company's equipment assets, personnel resources and financial resources that demonstrate company responsibility and capability to perform required work; and (5) Demonstrate bonding capacity on a single-job;System for Award Management (SAM) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at time of submitting bid/offer. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
