Description
The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for Warthog - Amphibious Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) based on these vehicles being the only commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) UVAs that can meet all of the following minimum requirements of the Government: Possess a robust design capable of operating outdoors in wooded and urban areas, including dirt, gravel roads, primitive trails and waterways Wheeled rather than tracked configuration, with flexible payload mounting Possess a battery capacity capable of providing at least eight (8) hour of continuous movement in the terrain types detailed in (a) referenced above Have an “open architecture” (defined as having published and available system architecture and interface protocol) to support interfacing with our developed control software through the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework Possess a modular or otherwise flexible physical design, such as mounting rails and/or a payload tub, in order to permit the integration of Computational and Information Sciences Directorate (CISD)-designed processing payload and sensor suites to the robot chassis Be a complete system that is operable without additional low-level engineering integration effort Weigh no more than 620 pounds fully loaded Be non- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)-restricted Drivetrain is capable of moving 272 kilograms (kg) of payload and can reach speeds up to 18 kilometers (km)/ hours (hr) on land The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Clearpath Robotics at 1425 Strasburg Rd, Unit 2a, Kitchener, ON, N2R 1H2, Canada, for: Base Contract:Quantity Description Part NumberThree (3) Warthog - Amphibious Unmanned Ground Vehicle 013242Three (3) Warthog - LiFeP04 Battery Pack upgrade 042000Three (3) Wireless Emergency Stop 015881Three (3) Additional Battery Pack 042000Option One:Quantity Description Part NumberTwo (2) Warthog - Amphibious Unmanned Ground Vehicle 013242Two (2) Warthog - LiFeP04 Battery Pack upgrade 042000Two (2) Wireless Emergency Stop 015881Two (2) Additional Battery Pack 042000 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
