Page 1 of 1INTRODUCTION:The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the DESIGN - BUILD Replace Patient Lift System Construction project at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC). PROJECT DESCRIPTION:The objective of this project is to design and construct the Patient Lift systems in SCI/D and ED, Minneapolis VAMC. The project includes, but not limited to the Design Build (DB)/Architect Engineer (A-E) shall provide complete design based on the following; The SCI/D Building 76 was constructed/ commissioned in 2008. Tollos brand patient ceiling lifts were installed throughout the SCI/D building and are nearing the manufacturers recommended life-cycle replacement date of 12 years. The ceiling lifts are in select exam rooms. There are 49 ceiling patient lifts requiring replacement. There are currently patient lifts installed in select rooms within the ED Building 70, however the requirement is for 15 additional patient lifts to be installedADMINISTRATIVE:The solicitation will be issued as an Request For Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36.3 and be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small-Business Set-Aside. Offers received from other than Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small-Business concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about November 30, 2019. The period of performance is approximately 275 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $1,000,000 to $2,000,000.
