Sources Sought Synopsis THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201 (e). The purpose of this source sought is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, veteran owned small business (VOSB), service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), or large business) relative to NAICS 334516, 1000 size standard number of employees.   If VA s market research establish that two or more VOSB or SDVOSB, who are certified in VA s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) site https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, meet the requirements and support reasonable expectation of receiving two or more offers from eligible and capable Veteran-owned sources, VA will set aside the underlying solicitation per 38 U.S.C. §8127.   Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this source sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on FBO and/or GSA eBuy. General Requirements: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA Regional Procurement Office - West has a requirement to establish a procurement for all reagents, supplies and consumables used on the Abbott Architect i1000. The Abbott Architect i1000 is an analyzer used for clinical laboratory testing of patient specimens. The place of performance is Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System. Source must be able to provide below reagents, supply, disposables, consumables and any part necessary for the Abbott Architect i1000 not on list below.
