Solicitation # HHSN-NIH-CCOPC-SBSS-20-000024 This is a Small business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources:(2) whether there are small businesses, HUBZONE small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses or (8a) small businesses, veteran- owned small business, woman-owned small businesses or small disadvantaged businesses veteran owned small businesses; woman owned businesses, or small disadvantaged businesses and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable code should not submit a response to this notice. Background Information: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation's foremost federally funded biomedical research institution. It is comprised of twenty-seven Institutes and Centers. The NIH Clinical Center (CC) is the onsite hospital for the NIH campus, providing full support for clinical studies in inpatient and outpatient settings. The NIH CC is an 870,000 square-foot facility with the capacity to serve 240 inpatient beds and 82 day-hospital stations. The Critical Care Medicine Department was established in November 1977 to provide medical care for critically ill patients throughout the Clinical Center who have potentially reversible medical problems. Critical care medicine may be defined as the observation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with overt or potential failure of vital functions. CCMD's mission is to provide high quality and cost effective clinical service that meets the needs of CC patients and NIH Institutes, to facilitate the research goals of NIH Institutes and investigators, and to conduct high quality research and training in Critical Care Medicine. The Critical Care Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) was established in 1979 to care for patients who became critically ill during treatment for their protocol while staying in the Clinical Center. Pediatric patients were first admitted to the CCMD MICU in 1988. Their care requires special and unique skills and procedures that can only be provided by physicians with specialized training. None of the CCMD medical staff are board certified in Pediatric Critical Care. Purpose The National Institutes of Health has a requirement for a contractor to provide Annual service agreement for Bronchoscopy to use for patient care. The equipment technology built into each patented parts and must be compatible for diagnostic purposes. The period of performance will be for (12) months, Objective: This contract is to provide full service agreement of the 12 Bronchoscope devise Scope of Work: The contractor shall be responsible for providing full service maintenance of 12 Brochoscope for the following: 1) Full repair coverage with no cap for all contracted equipment. Work will be performed by Olympus trained technicians. 2) Accidental damage covered at no additional charge. 3) Prioritized repairs, 24-48 hour turn-around time for most repairs. 4) Next day shipping in both directions included at no extra charge. 5) 24/7 technical support: 800-848-9027 Weekdays 7am-8pm Est; 877-624-7267 all other times 6) Online repair tracking and history 7) Training and support provided by Olympus Endoscopy Support Specialists on-site at the facility 8) Full access to Preventative Maintenance and Educational Courses offered through Olympus University Funding Structure The contract will be fully funded on award of contract. Location: National Institutes of Health Critical Care Medicine Department This acquisition will be processed in accordance with Simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR 12 and under FAR 6.302 -1 Period of Performance: The period of performance is 12 months with Location: NIH/CC/Critical Care Medicine Department 10 Center Drive 4-5551 Bethesda, MD 20892-1288 Attention: Windy Wallin. Capability Statement is to include: Information regarding respondents; (a), including their availability, experience and informal and other training; (b) current in-house capability to perform the work; (c) prior completed projects of similar nature; (d) corporate experience and management capability; and (e) examples of prior completed Government contracts; references, and other related information: Respondents, DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contract, and size and type of business (e.g.8(a), HUBZone, etc) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code; Respondents; technical and administrative points of contract including names, titles addresses, telephone and fax numbers and email addresses; Respondents must respond to this notice by November 15,2019 at 12:00 pm Est DISCLAIMER AND IMPORTANT NOTICES: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation maybe published in Federal Business Opportunities.
