Description
Requirement Package Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) Program Office Industry Day Open to: Defense Contractors and Subcontractors Date/Time: 19 November 2019, 0830-1700 Where: Defense Acquisition University Campus, 3100 Research Blvd, Kettering, OH 45420 Room#227 Please send all Registration requests to: Mr. Jared Rush: LAIRCM Program Office Contract Negotiator 937-255-9711 jared.rush@us.af.mil Overview: The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Agile Combat Support, LAIRCM Program Office (AFLCMC/WNY), located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, will host an Industry Day on 19 November 2019 to present information regarding the replacement for our support test equipment. The LAIRCM system is a common Infrared (IR) countermeasure solution for most aircraft that are not weight and space constrained. The system protects against Surface-to-Air Missile threats that impact aircraft in vulnerable situations. The goals of the LAIRCM Industry Day are to inform industry about upcoming competition opportunities in the program, engage with industry to identify companies interested and capable of executing this replacement effort, update our programs' market research, and to provide a forum to discuss the program strategy in order to improve the quality of upcoming solicitation. Our office is currently seeking Non-Developmental solutions to replace the current Multipurpose Electro-Optic eNd-to end (MEON) Countermeasure Test Set (CTS), as well as support from Industry regarding CTS devices that can stimulate the LAIRCM system. The Program Office will present and discuss the latest information about the replacement of the CTS to attain industry feedback in preparation for Request for Proposal (RFP) development in 2020, with contract award estimated in 2021. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code planned to be used for the replacement support equipment item is 336413 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. Industry Day Details : Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Industry Day event. Companies must register all participants for the event by emailing jared.rush@us.af.mil. Registration is required by 12 November 2019, no later than 1600 hrs (EDT). Participation is limited to three (3) people per company due to space restrictions. The LAIRCM Program Office will make briefing material available to all registered attendees no later than one week prior to the Industry Day via DOD Safe. Companies considering participation as a prime contractor may choose to provide a capability briefing, but the LAIRCM Program Office will require a request for your IT considerations for the Industry Day. One-on-one sessions are available with a RSVP request, and please include presented material in a table-top (handout) format. Each company should bring four copies of each briefing for Government personnel to keep and use in their Market Research Report. One-on-one sessions are available upon request. One-on-one sessions are limited to not more than 45 minutes, including capability briefings. Briefings should be tailored specifically to workload discussed as part of this LAIRCM Industry Day in order for our teams to apply the information appropriately to our Market Research. One-on-one sessions are scheduled for the afternoon allowing companies to communicate their capability presentations. The location for this event is the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Midwest Campus, 3100 Research Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45420. Additional information regarding the DAU campus facilities, local hotels/lodging and directions will be provided to the primary registrant POC. If this facility cannot meet the number of registrants, a new facility may be identified and registrants will be notified of a change via FBO and the contact information (email) provided on the registration forms. Wi-Fi access in the facility is available.
