Description

The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport intends to solicit a sole source to obtain Brand Name Millennium Surgical Instruments. The proposed contract action is for 387 different surgical instruments to augment the existing in-use inventories of instruments and case/caskets for building additional sets to increase the OR case load. The new items must be exact matches in size, shape, and reprocessing procedures to the existing in-use items. See attached RFQ and Single Source Justification. This sole source action is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). Soliciting a Single Source. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no competitive solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements or provide an equal product may give written notification to the contract specialist for consideration. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above for the requested products. Responses are due by Nov 14, 2019 at NOON Central Time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be e-mailed to paul.filhiol@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. No reimbursement for any costs associated with providing capability statements will be provided by the Government.
