- This is a source sought notice for acquisition planning purpose only and no formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, management and financial capability of such offerors to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, whether a set-aside is warranted, or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. Hoover Dam is an historically important dam structure within the United States. It sits across the Colorado River (Nevada/Arizona boundary) and forms Lake Mead. The dam which was built during the depression and completed in 1935 provides power generation, downstream flood protection and water for agricultural and human consumption. Over 4,000,000 people per year visit the Hoover Dam. Reclamation operates a large visitor center services are conducted every day except 2 days, throughout the year, with spring and summer receiving the highest visitation. The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Lower Colorado Region, has a requirement for the Photography and Merchandise sales operation at the Hoover Dam, Nevada. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, management and other items and services necessary to manage and operate the photography and merchandise sales operations 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day for the following principal features of the work, including but not limited to: Photography Sales - Provide all personnel, equipment, materials, financial controls, and management to operate an on-site photography sales operation. Must take professional digital photographs of visitors, process photographs, and present to customers. Must include full-service POS ability for multiple inputs and revenue types, daily electronic reporting and other audit functions, cash and other payment management, and visitor experience enhancement. Memorabilia Sales - Provide all personnel, equipment, materials, financial controls, and management to operate an on-site Memorabilia sales operation. Must include full-service POS ability for multiple inputs and revenue types, purchases across multiple platforms (including online, in-person, app-based and advance sales), daily electronic reporting and other audit functions, cash and other payment management, visitor experience enhancement, and other potential duties using expertise and technology. Ability to manage memorabilia and merchandise re-stock purchasing, inventory management, and property protection/control. The capability statement shall address the work listed above, demonstrate the company ¿s capability to perform the work, and describe previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity. Pleases indicate if your firm has the capability to perform all, or only some of the services listed. If only some, please provide your firm ¿s capability statement on those areas. Additionally, all responses to this sources sought shall include company name and address, DUNS number, business size and type 8(a), HUBZone, Small Business, etc.), and point of contact to include email address and telephone number. Capability statements should not exceed 10 pages in length. This information will be used to assist the Contracting Officer in developing the procurement strategy whether a set-aside is warranted.
