- Description
- Image Image Please see attached RFQ and all attachments to provide an accurate quotation. Questions: 1. Can you please provide a screenshot of the previous maintenance check list? We have determined that we cannot share the previous maintenance checklist because it was created by the contractor and we do not have their permission to share this. Additionally the previous contract covered more than is requested under this RFQ. It is best to quote in accordance with the PWS which outlines the Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Semi-Annual inspection areas 2. Can you please provide the previous contract number? The most recent contract number covering this facility's maintenance is FA527019PA041. 3. Does Item 0001 cover regular maintenance as well as repairs of USD 200 or less, and any repairs over USD 200 are to be invoiced separately for an additional fee? Please see PWS paragraphs 1.3.2.2. and subsequent 1.3.2.3. The contractor will implement a preventive maintenance inspection program. Resulting from a preventative maintenance inspection, a job order number will be assigned to each deficiency requiring "emergency" or "urgent" response times, or deficiencies requiring resources estimated to exceed $200.00. CLIN 0001 covers in schedule, preventive maintenance. 4. Is Item 0002 a fixed service fee for each repair, excluding expenses? CLIN 0002 is the hourly rate to be invoiced for out of schedule maintenance. CLIN 0003 shall be invoiced for parts and materials. 5. We would like to know the manufacturer of the halon cylinder that is stored inside the facility. Response from the end user, "I attempted to find the manufacturer of the halon cylinders. However, the bottles are in Japanese. I have also looked through countless documents but cannot find the manufacturer nor supplier. This was handled through the facility contract. The previous contractor told me the bottles are no longer procurable because they do not make them." 6. We would like to know the brand/manufacturer of the control panels for the halon cylinders Pictures are attached for reference but exact information is unknown. 7. We were informed that the halon cylinders were to be replaced by another contractor during our site visit, but where is the line drawn between the other contractor's responsibility and the scope of work for this project? The possible halon system replacement will be part of a Charrette contract. If approved, the replacement is an effort to go with a more environmentally "clean" agent called Novec. As of right now, we are in the process of having a Study for Design accomplished to determine if the bottles/system will be replaced, along with additional structural enhancements. If the Halon systems are replaced we will consider a bilateral modification for this contract/PWS with the separate Fire Suppression System contract in mind to assure a clear line is drawn.
