- Sources Sought Locks 27 Masonry Restoration Project This is a Sources Sought Notice. This Sources Sought neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This Sources Sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Notice is in support of a market survey being conducted by the St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers to identify interested Contractors within the District area for the Scope of Work listed below. The following are general capabilities required to perform the Scope of Work according to USACE standards. The Contractor must be capable to perform the Scope of Work listed below. Scheduled Site visit at Locks 27, 3219 West 20th Street in Granite City, IL, 62040 will be held on Thursday October 31, 2019 at 9:00am. General Project Description The work covered by this contract consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, operators, supervision/site superintendent, supplies and materials necessary to satisfactorily perform the repair, installation, demolition, removal/disposal, rehabilitation and/or restoration of ten (10) U.S. Government buildings at Locks 27 as specified in accordance with the contract specifications. Contract Areas and Construction Limits for Masonry Restoration Operations: The primary contract area consists of the buildings and/or facilities located at Locks 27, 3219 West 20th Street in Granite City, IL. 62040. Work Statement Work to consist of: Cut out and repair cracked or loose mortar, cracked or damaged bricks, cracked or damaged blocks, and/or cracked or damaged concrete building structure(s). Remove old broken window frames and any other items (plywood, plexi-glass, etc.) located inside the former window location and replace with clear transparent glass blocks. Apply two (2) coats of clear water proofing sealer to all exterior surfaces on all buildings contained herein. Work shall also consist of window replacement requirements at two building locations (work item 2 and work item 10). At both locations there are multiple individual windows that combine to provide a 180 degree field of view. The same number, size and configuration of replacement windows shall be installed. The replacement windows shall be fixed, dual pane, at least 7/8" insulated glass with low E and argon gas for efficiency. Required Trades: The contractor shall have the capabilities of supplying trades including, but not limited to laborers, operators, carpenters, masons or any other skilled discipline normally required to complete the types of work contained in the SOW. Submission 1. Please provide examples of work and equipment utilized that your company has performed in the areas listed below. No more than (3) three projects in any area of work performed. Describe past work experience showing all or more than one of the areas listed that performed under one contract. Areas of work involving characteristics that are similar to the types of work described herein: a. Maintenance and/or repair of masonry buildings and/or other structures at a Government facility. b. Replacement and/or repair of windows within a masonry building or other structure. c. Demolition, rehabilitation/restoration, and/or installation activities at a Government Facility. d. Performance of water-proofing masonry structures after repairs/rehabilitation. e. Performance of brick and block laying, re-pointing and tuck-pointing. 2.
