- This solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS Code 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $39,500,000.00. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS Code 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $39,500,000.00. The New Orleans District (MVN) has a requirement to procure Stockpiling in support of the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana, Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction Project, Bonnet Carre Stockpile, Contract 2, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana (ED 19-049) requirement. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, MVN is to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for this requirement. The Bid Opening will be on 03 December 2019 at 1:00PM (CST) at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District Headquarters (MVN) in Room 328. DESCRIPTION AND MAGNITUDE OF WORK: The work consists of excavating, processing, and stockpiling clay material; clearing and grubbing, and other incidental work. Work will be performed within the Bonnet Carre Spillway. The Magnitude of this Acquisition is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. A bid guarantee and payment and performance bonds will be required for this procurement. All industry questions in response to this solicitation shall be submitted no later than 22 November 2019 at 11:00AM (CST), to the contract specialist, Anthony (Tony) Maiore, at anthony.p.maiore@usace.army.mil NOTE 1: Prospective bidders are encouraged to examine the site prior to bid opening. All arrangements shall be made through Mr. Kenneth W. Crumholt prior to the bid opening date. Failure to visit the site before submitting a bid will not be considered cause for claim against the Government. Note 2: Bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
