Description

SPECIAL NOTICE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, Ann Arbor, Michigan is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for PolyAnalyst support and maintenance that is used by the National Center for Patient Safety. NAICS Code 541519, size standard $30 million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) (Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization)), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Megaputer Intelligence (1600 West Bloomfield Rd, Suite E, Bloomington, IN, 47403), for this procurement due to the fact that Megaputer Intelligence created the PolyAnalyst software that is utilized, and are therefore the only company that can support and maintain the software. This will also avoid a substantial duplication of cost to the Government. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 10:00 AM Eastern on 10/23/2019. No telephonic inquiries, faxed or mailed responses will be accepted. All responses must be emailed to nicole.feeman@va.gov.
