- Request for Information F-16 Fuel Proportioner Hydraulic Motor Upgrade This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI). This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. There is no solicitation available at this time. Any request for a solicitation will not receive a response. Purpose: The purpose of this RFI is to gather comments and identify potential suppliers to design and supply Fuel Flow Proportioner Hydraulic motor for the F-16. Background: The F-16 System Program Office (SPO) and 423 SCMS GUEA requires an industry response regarding technology to accommodate the potential benefits of moving from current hydraulic motor P/N FA100009-001, specification ?, to a more reliable hydraulic motor. The F-16 SPO is seeking to identify contractors who are interested in being a possible provider of hydraulic motors and is looking for information on expected benefits of transitioning current technology. Scope of Task: Identify that potential contractors have experience and a history of knowledge with hydraulic motor. Provide data and history that shows the potential benefits of new technology. • i. Provide potential increase in life or usage. • ii. Provide potential decrease in hydraulic system maintenance. Provide supporting data showing that the contractor can support a program to qualify a new hydraulic motor, such as but not limited to design, data development, manufacturing, and testing. Provide a brief statement of how the contractor would prove out the increased benefits, either on aircraft or via ground testing Provide evidence of capability of contractor to update the current filter element specification to require the metal media filter •4. Information/Format Potential offerors shall provide information on relevant performance history and/or evidence of capability to satisfy this type of requirement. Potential offerors will demonstrate the offeror's infrastructure and integration capability to provide all aspects of this task to include but not limited to the following: •· Designing aircraft components, specifically hydraulic motors and pumps •· Previous Government projects/qualification/approval/contract by similarity •· Other pertinent data concerning your qualification to design the required item.
