- Description
- The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to modify the current contract to Logistics Health, Inc., on a non-competitive basis for a 12 month extension in order to provide medical and dental health services to the Reserve Health Readiness Program. The current contract HT0011-19-D-0002 was originally awarded for two (2) six (6) month option periods. Including this modification, the total contract period of performance will be 2 years. The RHRP program has already initiated a long term recompete of this effort through Army Contracting Command New Jersey; which is currently in source selection evaluation and is anticipated to be awarded in 2020. This modification extending the current contract should allow enough time for source selection evaluation to be completed and an award decision to be made. In accordance with FAR 5.102(e), firms not solicited under this requirement may request a copy of the solicitation, but are advised that the agency intends to authorize other than full and open competition under FAR Part 6; specifically utilizing FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency in future market research. This is not a request for quotes or proposals. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the DHA transition initiative. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining how to conduct future similar acquisitions. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. A copy of the Justification and Approval will be posted no later than 14 days after contract award.
