- In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source on a single source basis. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to Tactical Micro, Inc., 3509 Shannon Park Drive Ste 103, Fredericksburg, VA. The Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) has a requirement through an interagency agreement with U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency, for acquisition of repair services and procurement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), engineering studies and analytical technical support for various proprietary components in support of the Mobile Video Surveillance System (MVSS) and the Program ™s Primary Mission Support Monitor (PMEM) software. Sustainment of the MVSS system requires the use of data, specifications and drawings necessary to manufacture new replacement items, repair existing components, and provide spare parts configured for specific use in the MVSS system. Tactical Micro is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and only known source who maintains configuration control of the MVSS system with the proprietary data and system knowledge to supply spare LRUs, perform repairs, and provide the required technical services necessary to assure the continued operation of the MVSS system. The proposed NAICS code for this acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $20.5M. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
